Zink Mining 1500 yrs Ago

Indians MINED ZINC over 1500 years ago in Zawar, Mewar. The Industrial Revolution began way back, in countries all over the world, and slowly with international trade in the 17th century, brought a lot of ideas back to Europe. They then ‘invented’ it themselves.

Observatory

Maharaja Jai Singh II, the great scholar-king who rebuilt a small observatory in 1725 CE.

Names of the big shots who worked at Ujjain- Aryabhata, Varahamihra, Bhaskara, Brahmagupta, Vateshwara, Bhaskara the IInd.

Ved Shala or Jantar Mantar in Ujjain is believed to be India’s first and foremost observatory. Indian astronomers believe that the first meridian or the Prime Meridian of Longitude (75° 47′ E) passes through Ujjain thus earning it the epithet, ‘Greenwich of India’. The Tropic of Cancer also passes through Ujjain making it most suitable for an observatory. This observatory, made by Raja Jaisingh of Amer, is among the five built by him in India, the others situated at Delhi, Jaipur, Mathura and Varanasi. The Jantar Mantar has all the constructional instruments which determine the positions of heavenly bodies in space.

Kepler could not possibly have made the observations of planetary orbital periods from the method he offered as proof. This was a clear case of manufacturing ‘proofs’ from results.

Indus Valley Civilisation May Pre-date Egypt's Pharoahs.

Indian caretaker Hirabhai Makwana inspects the ancient bricks at the Acropolis site.  Experts have previously suggested the seemingly successful and advanced civilisation was gradually wiped out when the Indus River dried up as the result of climate change

Indian caretaker Hirabhai Makwana inspects the ancient bricks at the drainage site in the ancient town of Lothal. While more tests are required, the study suggests the Indus Valley Civilisation pre-dates those of ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia, which are also famed for their impressive ability to build organised cities                                With its impressive pyramids and complex rules Ancient Egypt may seem to many the epitome of an advanced early civilisation. However, new evidence suggests the Indus Valley Civilisation in India and Pakistan, famed for its well-planned cities and impressive crafts, predates Egypt and Mesopotamia

Indus Valley civilisation may pre-date Egypt's pharoahs: Ancient society is 2,500 years older than thought. Anindya Sarkar, a professor at the department of geology and geophysics at IIT Kharagpur, told, ‘Our study pushes back the antiquity to as old as 8th millennium before present and will have major implications to the evolution of human settlements in Indian sub-continent.’

Tamils May Have Descended From Indus Valley
It also gives substance to a theory voiced by scholars and politicians in the state that Tamils may have descended from the Indus Valley civilisation, as it declined and its people moved South.
